We provide secure and loving homes with therapeutic and trauma-informed support services. This service is for children under the age of 14. We aim to offer a warm and comforting environment that replicates that of an average family home. We aim to be a home, not an operation. To ensure the safety of the children in our care, we carefully select our homes and base them on a location assessment.
We offer children a foundation on which they can begin to build a bright future. This includes learning new skills, building positive friendships and community networks, gaining a solid education, and tackling trauma and adverse childhood experiences. To ensure this happens, we keep both support workers and children accountable through goal setting and weekly action planning. Our work is underpinned by the ‘Head, Heart, Hands’ principle of social pedagogy. The Head represents the evidence base behind our practice The heart is for the meaningful relationships we forge with young people, and the hands symbolise how we equip young people for real life by empowering them to make decisions. This approach is focused on building positive relationships with children, promoting a child-centred approach.
