Our Homes
Happy and Safe Environment
Our home is set in a beautiful location and has been purposely selected for the needs of our young people. The property is a 4-bedroom home, which consists of a staff sleep-in room and three children’s bedrooms. Young people will have access to communal lounge areas where they can watch TV, play games, and read books provided. Our homes have been designed to feel like a family home and avoid an institutional feel.
The home has been furnished to a high standard. It is decorated throughout with comfortable and modern furnishings. The home contains all the amenities associated with modern life: central heating; a fitted kitchen with a fridge, freezer, washer, and dryer; and adequate shower facilities.
Each young person will have their own spacious bedroom, furnished to a high standard with adequate storage space.
Young people are encouraged to take ownership of their bedroom through their choice of bedding, posters, pictures, books, and personal items. Keys will be provided to their bedrooms on an age-dependent basis.
The home has good links to bus routes into and around the local area. There are a number of recreational activities that can be accessed, as well as clubs that can promote positive social inclusion, all within walking distance or a short bus journey.
Gilway House
Our home has been purposefully selected for its safe surroundings and the environment in which it is placed. We are proud to offer a home that is located in a highly sought-after location with no children’s homes close by. Our home is detached, with plenty of living space over three floors. We aim to offer a quality service accommodating an average of two children (maximum of three) to replicate that of an average family home.
On the ground floor, we have an office, a kitchen, and two reception rooms, with a large garden to the rear. Our home has off-street parking for at least two cars. On the first floor, our home offers an open hallway with three larger-than-average bedrooms. The home has a bathroom and a separate toilet. On the second floor, our home has another en-suite room. Our home is well located for transport in and out of Tamworth, supported by bus and rail networks.
